Compare Prices from Sussex Double Glazing Companies

CompareMyLocal.com has a wealth of information on double glazing in Sussex. We can help find you the most suitable double glazing company no matter where you live in Sussex, whether Brighton, Chichester, Worthing or Hastings.

Installing double glazing can be one of the most effective ways a homeowner can save money on fuel bills. Single glazed windows can lose up to 20% of your property’s heat, and by installing new UPVC windows you can help to reduce the amount of heat lost and keep your home nice and warm. This will result in lower fuel bills, and will also reduce your home’s carbon footprint and carbon dioxide emissions, benefitting the environment. A further benefit of double glazing is the extra security that it provides for your home, compared to single glazing, helping to keep you and your family safe. Double glazed windows are made from laminated or toughened glass, which is much stronger than single panes of glass, and the windows also come with a choice of various locking systems to improve security. And with double glazed windows lasting for at least twenty years, they can be a worthwhile investment for your home.

As part of our service, we will search through prices from double glazing installers across Sussex, from Crawley and Eastbourne, to Bognor Regis and Horsham, to enable you to make an informed decision on the best company for you. After all, choosing to install double glazed windows is an important decision for your home, and one that shouldn’t be rushed into. Don’t forget that all of the companies we recommend have been thoroughly checked and vetted by us to give you complete peace of mind. And of course, our price comparison service is completely free of charge meaning there’s absolutely no risk to you – so what are you waiting for? Make that search today!

The Latest News on Double Glazing in Sussex

The number of Sussex householders benefitting from Government assistance to keep fuel bills down has fallen dramatically, despite the fact that there are 100,000 people living in fuel poverty in the county.  In 2008/9 more than 6,000 homes in Sussex took advantage of the scheme, but this dropped below 1,000 in 2011/12. The fall in numbers has been attributed to a lack in promotion and stricter eligibility restrictions to avoid over-subscription. This has resulted, however, in around a fifth of the £143 million budget allocated for homes in fuel poverty not being spent in 2011. The Warm Front scheme offers grants for households in fuel poverty to help provide energy saving measures such as loft insulation and double glazing.

Meanwhile, a development of carbon neutral homes in Chichester has won two awards at the What House? Awards. Graylingwell Park is a collection of homes and community facilities spread across eighty-five acres of parkland, with nature trails and green open spaces integral to the estate. The awards won were gold for ‘Best Sustainable Development’ and silver for ‘Best Brownfield Development’. Environmental sustainability is central to the community, and all new homes must achieve carbon neutral status. The homes are fitted with energy saving measures, such as UPVC windows to help achieve that goal. Green energy and water management are also central to the ethos of the estate.
